It's been a tough couple of years for psychedelics-focused media companies. 

In 2023, Google deliberately altered its algorithm, causing web traffic to psychedelic websites to drop by up to 85% over the following year. 

As a result, psychedelic media was pushed to the second page and beyond, with Google prioritizing mainstream media, obscure blogs, rehab facilities, and FDA.gov, DEA.gov, and NIDA.NIH.gov.

📱 Social media hasn’t been any better. 

TikTok, Facebook, and Instagram routinely ban accounts and posts that challenge specific narratives, severely limiting access to psychedelic education, journalism, and harm reduction.

These platforms rely on low-quality algorithms and bots to monitor and censor content—tools that make mistakes at an alarming rate.

What’s most frustrating is that legitimate (and fully legal) companies seem to be targeted the most, while countless accounts blatantly breaking the law and violating terms of service continue to operate unchecked, evading scrutiny altogether.
