🌈 Main Features
1. 🍄 One Dose to Heal Them All: Psilocybin’s 5-Year Power
In a long-term follow-up of a 2020 clinical psilocybin trial, Dr. Alan Davis of Ohio State University and their team—noted at Psychedelic Science 2025—found that 67% of participants remained in remission from major depression five years after a single guided dose.
These individuals also reported lasting improvements in anxiety and daily functioning. That kind of durability challenges conventional mental-health models and could force a rewrite of how we train therapists, structure care, and value one-and-done treatments, especially when backed by data from a rigorously tracked cohort.

2. 🧪 Bigger Doses, Bigger Breakthroughs
Turns out when it comes to treating depression with LSD, size might matter. A new study out of the University of Basel found that higher doses of LSD (100–200μg), paired with therapy, led to significantly greater reductions in depression than lower doses (just 25μg). And no—this wasn’t a Burning Man anecdote. It was a randomized, double-blind clinical trial, published in the legit journal Med.
The benefits lasted up to 12 weeks post-treatment, with researchers noting the high-dose group made the most progress. They’re now calling for a larger Phase 3 trial, and the FDA has already granted LSD “breakthrough therapy” status for anxiety. Translation? The molecule once blamed for melting America’s youth may be your psychiatrist’s new favorite prescription pad.
Still, they caution that LSD’s longer duration makes it more resource-intensive than psilocybin. But for those who need a deeper reset, it could be worth the extra hours—and the extra prep. Because with great neuroplasticity comes great responsibility.

💡 Secondaries
🕳️ Meta’s Algorithm Is Killing the Vibe – From Instagram takedowns to buried Substacks, psychedelic educators and harm reductionists are being shadow-banned, throttled, and erased.
The algorithm doesn’t care if you're a healer or a meme lord, if you mention psychedelics, you're marked. To make matters worse, it doesn’t seem to matter what kind of safety precautions you take. This isn’t just annoying - it’s existential for grassroots communities trying to share life-saving info.
Shoutout to all of those affected who are standing up and speaking out! 📵 Sound the alarm

That’s a wrap on this journey. If the algorithms are gatekeeping your soul, the Senate’s stalling your mushroom rights, or your shadow work feels more like shadow boxing—just know: we see you.
Stay wild, stay kind, and keep asking questions that make people slightly uncomfortable at dinner parties.
